  • Dieterich School Board Met June 8

  • 1. The Board passed a resolution to establish prevailing wage rates for the District for the 2009-2010 school year.

    2. The Board accepted the resignation of Sue Bushue as Kindergarten Teacher for the Elementary School at the end of the 2008-2009 school year. Mrs. Bushue was retiring from the District with 28 years of service.

  • 1. The Board passed a resolution to establish prevailing wage rates for the District for the 2009-2010 school year.
    2. The Board accepted the resignation of Sue Bushue as Kindergarten Teacher for the Elementary School at the end of the 2008-2009 school year. Mrs. Bushue was retiring from the District with 28 years of service.
    3. The Board accepted the resignation of Justin Coffey as boys Jr. High Basketball coach for the 2009-2010 school year.
    4. The Board accepted the resignation of Danielle Ruholl as Special Education Teacher for the 2009-2010 school year. Mrs. Ruholl has taken a job with the Teutopolis School District as a Special Education Teacher.
    5. The Board hired Debbie Bower as Summer Enrichment teacher for this summer 2009.
    6. The Board hired Chelsea Pontious as Assistant Girls Jr. High Basketball coach for the 2009-2010 school year.
    7. The Board approved non-certified staff salaries as presented for the 2009-2010 school year.
    8. The Board approved the Administration salaries as presented for the 2009-2010 school year.
    9. The Board passed a Resolution to transfer working cash fund to the Operation/Maintenance fund for $330,000.
    10. The Board approved Tic Toc Energy to install a 1kW Photovoltaic System $12,211 of which an Illinois Clean Energy Grant will pay for $10,000 of the project.
    11. The Board approved Markel Insurance Co. as the carrier for the student insurance for the 2009-2010 school year.
    12. The Board discussed the legislation session going on in Springfield and how it could impact the school because of funding, because certain Programs have not been funded at this time such as Pre-School and Transportation.
    13. The Board discussed the resurfacing of the High School parking lot and that Fayette County Construction was going to start on the project on June 15 if weather permits and finish the project in 2 weeks plus cure time for the concrete.
    14. The Board was told that Merz Heating and Air Conditioning had finished putting the new air conditioning unit in the server room of the High School and it was working very well.
    15. The Board was given a letter from the State Superintendent of School stating that he was concerned about programs not being funded at the State level and how it will affect schools next year.
    16. The Board was given an update on NAEIR and the things gotten from them to be used in the schools for students.
    17. The Board approved the milk bid from Prairie Farms for the 2009-2010 school year.
    18. The Board approved the bakery bid from Lewis Bakeries for the 2009-2010 school year.
    19. The Board approved the gas/diesel bid from Effingham Clay Service Company for the 2009-2010 school year.
