Martina McBride has explored the wonderland of Christmas music in the past with her excellent White Christmas album from 1998. She's about to add to the genre with a brand new Christmas album.

At this time of the year, we begin to see shelves being stocked with holiday-related items. From now until the end of the year, the holidays are represented as fast as they come. That's also true of Christmas albums. There isn't a year that goes by that some musician or band tries their hand at the time-honored treatment. Some of them become classics. Already this year, Eric Clapton surprised many with the announcement that he would release a Christmas album. This year also brings a new holiday-themed album from Country star, Martina McBride.

Martina McBride is no stranger to Christmas releases. In 1998, she released her first with White Christmas. That album went on to sell upwards of two million units, and has been auccessfully reissued several time, with the last one repackaged as The Classic Christmas Album in 2013, adding a duet with Elvis Presley off his Christmas Duets set.

On October 19, BMG will release a new Christmas album from Martina McBride called It's The Holiday Season. The new album will contain nine classic Christmas tunes and will tour the set using local symphonies at each stop to replicate the orchestral parts of the new album.

For me, there can never really be too many Christmas albums. This is especially true if one of your favorite artists is doing the releasing. How about you?
