I don’t want to talk about the Super Bowl, but I will share the only memorable commercial from the event, in case anyone was in the bathroom and missed it.
I confess that I was halfway through Clint Eastwood’s Halftime in Americaspot before I was convinced it was a car ad, not an Obama re-election ad.
The style was familiar, if a little more gritty, but I knew I’d seen this kind of thing work before. So I went back to find Reagan’s 1984 Morning in America ad and, well, you can compare for yourself.
