It is hard to believe that August is upon us. We are very excited that August is NASCAR month at the Red Cross. Driver Greg Biffle will be driving the American Red Cross car for a race coming up. Also, everyone who donates will receive a NASCAR lanyard to celebrate. The following blood drives are scheduled for August:
•August 7—Knights of Columbus, Newton 1-6
•August 11—St. John’s Lutheran Church, Effingham 3-7
•August 11—Effingham High School 9-2
•August 13—Village Square Mall 1-6
•August 17—Holy Cross Church of Wendlyn 8-12
•August 20—Travel Centers of America 1-5
•August 24—St. Mary’s of Assumption Church, Ste. Marie 8-12
•August 25—Effingham Elks 3-7
We have a very busy month, but we really need to collect a lot of blood. Our blood supply is still really low.
