Roger Borries to Celebrate 80th Birthday
Roger Borries of Teutopolis will celebrate his 80th birthday on Thursday, January 15.
He is a retired bricklayer and is currently the township supervisor for Teutopolis Township. He enjoys going camping, playing cards, mushroom hunting and gardening.
He has seven children, Susan (husband Sam) Reese, Rex (wife Linda), Mike (wife Debbie), Ann Thomas, Peggy (husband Dan) Hille, Donald (wife Lisa), and Dennis (wife Sue). He has 15 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Birthday Party
Several January birthdays were celebrated at the Wagon Wheel Cafe in Dieterich with everyone enjoying a delicious breakfast on Saturday, January 10. Those present were Bethel Koester, 87, Gary and Glenda Painter all of Dieterich, James and Patty Kester of Arcola, and Phillip Kester of Laramie, Wyoming. Birthdays celebrated were Bethel, her daughter Glenda, her son James, and her grandson Phillip.
January Birthday Party
Wednesday, January 28, is the date for the January and December birthday party. The December birthday party was canceled due to bad weather. Anyone having a December birthday is welcome to attend the January birthday party. Lunch is served at 12:00 noon. To those who phone 925-5461 the day before by 1:00 p.m. to order their meal. Pinochle and Dominoes will be played after lunch and cake and ice cream will be served later in the afternoon. Everyone is welcome, especially those with December and January birthdays.
