February 18, 1931 – November 4, 2017 Rosella M. Pruemer, 86, of Sigel, Illinois, passed away at 1:50 P. M., Saturday, November 4, 2017, in the Lakeland Rehabilation and Health Care Center of Effingham, Illinois. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, November 9, 2017, in the St. Michael The Archangel Church in Sigel, Illinois, with the Rev. Father, Suresh Sambaturu officiating. A Rosary will be held at 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at the Church with visitation continuing until 8:00 p.m.,. Burial will be in the St. Michael Cemetery, Sigel, Illinois. Rosella was born February 18, 1931, in Cumberland County, Illinois, the daughter of Arnold and Gladys (Hobbs) Swingler. Rosella married Joseph B. "Joe" Pruemer, April 18, 1951, in Sigel, Illinois. Mr. Pruemer passed away June 12, 2015. Mrs. Pruemer was a member of the St. Michael the Archangel Church, St. Michael's Ladies Solidity and a Past President of the Sigel American Legion Auxiliary all of Sigel, Illinois and the Catholic Daughters of America. Mrs. Pruemer was a housewife and a homemaker. Rosella leaves three sons, Donald Joseph Pruemer (Brenda) of Greenup, Kevin Charles Pruemer (Mary) of Greenville and Anthony Lee "Tony" Pruemer (Mona) of Sigel; one daughter, Linda Louise Bishop (Ron) of Mascoutah; one brother, Joseph Swingler (Ruth) of Sigel; two sisters, Joan Meyer of Bishop and Charlene Westendorf of Dieterich; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Mrs. Pruemer was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe Pruemer; one sister, Nadine Kastl; one great-grandson, Dylan Dunathan.
