Clara Alice Glad, 96, of Canton, passed away Thursday July, 5, 2018, at Graham Hospital in Canton.

Clara Alice Glad, 96, of Canton, passed away Thursday July, 5, 2018, at Graham Hospital in Canton.


She was born Feb. 16, 1922, in Pekin, to George and Nellie Woodworth. They preceded her in death.


She married Swanimer “Bill” Glad Aug. 17, 1940, in Lewistown; he preceded her in death.


Surviving are her children, Jean (Fred) Karn of Kearney, Missouri, and Jack (Carole) Glad of St. Cloud Florida; four grandchildren, Laurie Otto, Shawn Karn, Matthew Glad and John Glad; eight great-grandchildren, Melissa Day, TJ Otto, Cameron Karn and Megan Karn, Cody Glad, Ryan Glad, Kyle Glad and Cory Glad; one great-great-granddaughter, Briona Young; and two sisters, Ver Neal De Golyer and Linda Frazier.


Also preceding her in death are her brothers George and Louie and one great-grandson, Christopher young.


Clara was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church; she was involved with the Women’s Auxiliary. and St. Mary’s Food Pantry. She also loved to dance.


A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, July 10, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Canton. A visitation will be held Monday July 9, from 5 until 7 p.m. at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton.


Burial will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery in Canton.


Memorials may be made out to the St. Mary’s Food Pantry.
