The Dieterich High School Drama Club invites the community to its spring play titled "Virgil's Family Reunion"- a comedy about a "nutty" family reunion. Dieterich High School will be hosting the play on Saturday, April 24 at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday April 25 at 2:00 p.m. Admission is $4 for adults and $3 for students.
Sometimes, everything that can go wrong will. That is just what happens as the Sludge's prepare for their summer semi-annual family get-together. The morning starts with an uppity neighbor warning the Sludges that she plans to draft a petition to evict the Sludges from their home for not maintaining proper tidiness. Mrs. Sludge considers these empty threats until a police officer shows up to arrest her husband. The barbecue heats up when Virgil and Margaret have their first lover's spat and Ellard, Virgil's best friend, proposes to Virgil's sister with the help of some visual aids. The chaos continues in this hilarious account of the worst family reunion in the history of the Sludge's nutty family tree.
