Teutopolis School Board Met July 12 - Continues with the NTC Conference

1. The Board accepted the resignation of Steve Stumborg as a Unit 50 bus driver.

2. The Board hired Cathy Bloemer as a summer school teacher at Teutopolis Junior High School for this summer.

3. The Board approved an EIASE Resolution of Intergovernmental Agreement for the early childhood program and services for the 2010-11 school year.

4. The Board approved changes in the School Board Policy - basically changing names to current administrators.

5. The Board agreed to re-establish the Unit 50 Revolving Fund for the 2010-11 school year; this is done annually.

6. The Board agreed to re-establish the Officials Revolving Fund for the 2010-11 school year. This is done annually.

7. The Board hired and assigned the following personnel: Amy Soumakian as co-sponsor for TJHS cheerleading, Dori Lavrack as Grade 7 Volleyball Coach, and Sarah Klinger as THS Assistant Volleyball Coach.

8. Discussion was held regarding conference affiliations for sports. We were invited to join the Apollo Conference. After listening to comments from anyone present, the Board decided not to make a change. We are continuing with the NTC Conference.

9. The Board approved Teutopolis State Bank and National Trail Bank as depositories for the 2010-11 school year.

10. The Board agreed to move the September meeting date; it is now Thursday, September 16.

11. The Board discussed projects going on in the district this summer and building updates: TGS roof, tennis courts at TGS, sound proofing at TGS auditorium, carpet and windows at TJHS, completion of DCEO grant information, THS gym floor, and goals and a wish list established last school year.

12. The Board reviewed the last six months of closed session minutes and agreed to keep closed session minutes open or closed as marked.

13. The Board agreed to destroy closed session tapes that are over 18 months old.
