With the stock market fluctuating wildly, talk of bailouts for the three major American car companies and the mortgage crisis still going on in certain parts of the country, it’s nice to know that at least the gasoline prices are back down to an affordable level.

This year on September 13, the average price for regular gasoline in this area was $4.09 per gallon. As of December 8 the average local price for regular gasoline was $1.56 a gallon - that’s a $2.53 per gallon difference in 3 months!

These lower gasoline prices have come at a good time with Christmas just around the corner and heating bills needing to be paid.

Let’s hope this trend of lower gasoline prices continues.
