On Friday, December 9, Mrs. Mette's 3rd grade homeroom had a chance to learn first-hand about entrepreneurship. Tyler Goeckner and Valerie Deters, students in the CEO class, came to talk about how many businesses are started because of entrepreneurs. Their Social Studies textbook discusses how entrepreneurs established businesses in St. Louis during the mid-1800's, which helped St. Louis to grow during the westward expansion. Tyler and Valerie also set up a mach business for students so that they could get a better understanding of what an entrepreneur does. Many thanks to Tyler and Valerie and who knows, maybe the class of 2020 will have its own entrepreneur!
