The regular board meeting of the President and Board of Trustees of Teutopolis was held on January 20 at 7:00 p.m.

The President, Jerry Weber, called the meting to order and upon roll call the following trustees were present: Greg Hess, John Mette, Kenneth Esker, Joe Kroeger, Greg Oseland, and David Tegeler.

The minutes from the last meeting, treasurer's report and board report were approved and the January bills were paid.

Carl Pals reported that another water main break occurred on Green Street and reminded the board that the line needs to be replaced soon.

A motion was made by Joe Kroeger, seconded by Kenneth Esker to approve payment of $350.00 to Steve Borries for crop damage. By roll call vote - 6 yes, 0 nays, motion carried.

A motion was made by John Mette, seconded by Greg Oseland to approve change Order #1 extending the completion date for the Force Main and Garret Street Water Projects an additional 45 days due to weather. By roll call vote - 6 yes, 0 nays, motion carried.

After discussing the letter from the Teutopolis School district regarding traffic on Oak Street being one way at the end of the school day the board decided against this due to liability issues and the confusion it could cause. Board members agreed it needs to be one way all the time or not at all. The clerk was instructed to notify the superintendent of this decision and if the school district would like to pursue having the street one way permanently they could present the board with a signed petition from area residents expressing their approval for a one way street.

It was moved by Greg Oseland, seconded by John Mette and carried to adjourn the meeting.
