Benjamin Zuber, son of Gordon and Jane Zuber of Teutopolis, is the 2011 Illinois Sheriffs' Association scholarship winner from Effingham County. Benjamin will graduate this year from Teutopolis High School and plans to further his education at SIU, Carbondale, where he will major in Workforce Education. The $500.00 scholarship will help defray costs of tuition, books and fees.
Trisha Bell, daughter of Jay and Judith Bell of Beecher City, was selected as first alternate in the scholarship competition.
