Carol Burger Passes Away

Carol A. Burger, 60, of Effingham, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 11, 2009 in her home.
Carol was born on December 18, 1948 in Teutopolis to Edward and Mary (Heuerman) Fuesting. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church, St. Anthony Council of Catholic Women, Illinois Retired Teacher's Association and the U of I Mom's Club.
Carol's hobbies included: sewing, gardening, and working with crafts. She was a retired teacher at Teutopolis High School and was employed there for 32 plus years.
Survivors include her mother, Mary Fuesting; 1 son, Jake Burger of Connecticut; 5 sisters, Norma Ellis of Willowbrook, IL, Marilyn Brown of Bowling Green, KY, Eileen Peters of Beth Page, TN, Jane Sudkamp of St. Luis, MO, and Joan Kroger of Effingham; 5 brothers, John Fuesting of Collinsville, IL, Ron and Tom Fuesting of Teutopolis, Mike Fuesting of Danville, IL and Tim Fuesting of Thorntown, IN.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Fuesting; and 1 brother, Donald Fuesting. Friends may leave condolences for Carol at www.hallfuneralchapel.com.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Effingham with burial at St. Francis Cemetery in Teutopolis. Visitation was on Friday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Hall Funeral Chapel in Effingham.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
