Dear Editor:

As I am writing this, it is the sad anniversary of the 1973 Roe vs. Wade decision, legalizing the killing of the unborn. Hundreds of thousands of people will travel to the nation's capitol to ask their legislators to do all in their power to stop the holocaust of abortion, this weekend.

Dear Editor,

The nation had its eyes on President Obama as he delivered his State of the Union address. The President used the State of the Union address last night as a platform to call for tax increases to pay for the out-of-control spending in Washington.

The answer to the country's financial crisis is not more tax increases. The Democrats in Washington led by President Obama continue to push for tax increases but what our economy needs right now is jobs - not more taxes.

Dear Editor:

After years, and even decades, of hearing untruths and lies from various persons in our government, the truth finally is out. Occupants of the White House, persons in the Department of Defense, the Secretary of State, the Arms Control and Disarmament Agency, along with the Presidential Secretary, and the Department of Interior have "lied" to the American people, and the Press and all its outlets have shamelessly printed these falsehoods.

The 4th Greatest President?

It has been some time since my last letter because it has taken quite some time to recover from the audacity of Obama's self-proclaimed, somewhat delirious announcement, declaring himself to be the fourth greatest United States' president of all time. His arrogance again comes shining through. His accomplishments during his first three years in office have been disastrous.

Dear Editor:

The Washington Times recently printed an assessment of the Education in the United States. Altogether there are 75 percent of all high school graduates attending college that need remedial classes - imagine 75 percent of college freshmen students require remedial classes.

Dear Editor:

In this day of political campaigns and races we are inundated with the results of new poll numbers. Suprisingly, Vladimir Lenin came up with the first poll used to influence voters. A classic forerunner of modern polling occurred when Pontius Pilate asked the mob to choose between Jesus and Barabbas. Pilate had already confessed that he found no cause to punish Christ. But when the mob picked Barabbas, Pilate went along.

Is Obama Like King Herod?

Lately, I heard stories of the Three Kings coming to see baby Jesus. For some reason, that made me think of Obama; then I knew why. When the Three Kings left Bethlehem, they were supposed to inform King Herod that they had found Jesus. But we know why they did not. Herod wanted to kill baby Jesus. Does Herod have anything in common with Obama? I think he does.

Issuance of Pardons is a Public Matter

Jackson, Mississippi - Call former Gov. Haley Barbour's pardons of over 200 convicted felons what you want - egregious, nonsensical or - if you're so inclined - justified. More worrisome, though, may be the volume of instances where pardons were issued but public notice requirements about them were not fulfilled.

It's a bizarre turn of events that has led to a court order to halt the release of some prisoners, the potential rounding up of others and wiping the slate clean for scores of people long out of jail.

The Heinous Crime of Abortion

Calvary Baptist Church of Olney, has once again placed crosses on the church lawn during the month of January, to bring awareness of the Pagan ritual of sacrificing our children for the self-interest of individuals and a nation.

January the 22nd is the anniversary of the 1973 Roe-verses-Wade Supreme Court decision, to legally allow abortion on demand. This paved the way for the guilt to be removed from the slaughter of these helpless babies and a flood of abortions have stained our nation.

Dear Editor:

As I listen to the news and hear about the unemployment reports, I am aware that there are many "poor" people here in the United States. With unemployment there could very likely be some who don't eat the same as they have in previous months and years. By any conceivable standard, the poor in America enjoy a standard of living that people in previous ages (and indeed elsewhere in the world today) could scarcely have imagined. Some 41 percent of our poor own their own homes, with another 75 percent owning automobiles and VCR's and two-thirds having air conditioning and microwave ovens.

Dear Editor:

In its October 31 ruling based on the distorted reading of the First Amendment, the Supreme Court refused to hear an appeal dealing with crosses erected along a Utah highway to honor the memory of fallen state troopers. A lower court had ruled in favor of suits placed by atheist groups that claimed the 12 foot high crosses (depicting the name, photo, badge number, etc. of each fallen trooper) violated the supposed constitutional requirement for separation of religion and state.

Dear Editor:

Polling has become a big past time for the media. And reports of polling that never actually occurred constitute one of the ways to rig the "results." In 1992, during the early states of George H.W. Bush's campaign for re-election (it was not looking very good for the incumbent president).

Dear Editor:

As we witness all the happenings today on the national and international scene, do we ever wonder if all these events are "just happening" or are they planned to happen? "Colonel" Edward Mandell House, President Woodrow Wilson's "alter ego," wrote a book called "Philip Dru: Administrator." In this volume House outlines a thinly outlined fictionalized plan for conquest of America. He described a "conspiracy" - the word is his - which succeeds in electing a U.S. President by means of "deception regarding his real opinions and intentions."

Dear Editor:

When President Obama spoke to Congress and the nation on September 8, he sought to promote himself as a fiscally sound leader anxiously doing whatever he could to bring the nation out of its economic doldrums and promote jobs for Americans. But only a few weeks before, he toured the state of Iowa in what his aides said was not the beginning of his campaign for reelection. Why then go to Iowa where the first significant political event will be held early next year?

Dear Editor:

During the 60's and 70's the International Socialist liberals worked diligently to eliminate our local and State law enforcement officials and agencies and to establish a national or Federal law enforcement agency. Through the diligent efforts of the John Birch Society and other groups that supported the efforts of the organization, the works of these internationalists were defeated - specifically the LEAA, a Federal agency designed to give federal financial support to local law agencies (which translates "controls"), and the Police Civilian Review Boards.

Obama Springs into Action!

After the first three years of the Obama administration, our country finds itself with a 9 percent unemployment factor and presently, a 15 trillion dollar national debt, which is still rapidly climbing. The first 2 years, with substantial number advantages in both houses of Congress, was spent in passing Obamacare, which has met with an overwhelming disapproval from voters. In spite of trillions spent on stimulus bills, unemployment figures continue to remain at an unacceptable rate, but he still persists in wasting more money in failed policies.

Dear Editor:

Noted physicist Hal Lewis said, "Global warming is the greatest and most successful pseudoscientific fraud I have seen in my long life."

Before he passed away a year ago, he was one of several scientists who resigned from the pro-global warming American Physical Society, the second-largest organization of physicists in the world.

Dear Editor:

Following Henry Kissinger's recent trip to China where the former Secretary of State fawned all over Chinese leaders and even joined in singing the Communist Party's anthem, Vice-President Joe Biden visited the communist-controlled giant while Mr. Obama was vacationing in Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts.

Dear Editor:

Illinois has an opportunity in the very near future to safeguard more than 45,000 jobs for Illinois families.  This is achievable by making our state's business taxes more equitable for growth industries, as part of a package to provide more general relief for taxpayers.  I support a bill pending in the General Assembly that would renew a tax credit for research and development activities and establish a tax system that would no longer penalize Chicago's financial exchanges for investing in and developing global electronic markets.

Dear Editor:

Researcher John Lott, Ph.D. is widely considered the world's premier expert on gun control. Having examined every multiple-victim public shooting in America over a 50-year period, his findings run contrary to the theories advanced by anti-gun zealots in just about every way.

Probably the biggest single factor for determining how many people get killed or injured at one of these scenes when an attack occurs is the amount of time that elapses between when the attack starts and someone is able to arrive there on the scene with a gun.
