In my recollection, there have been a number of House Speakers that have been investigated by the Ethics Committee for various misdeeds. The names of Jim Wright, Dan Rostenkowski, and Newt Gingrich come to mind, but I know there have been more. Each of these was made to resign their positions. Now, we have Speaker Pelosi who has made some very serious charges against the C.I.A., accusing them of lying and deception. Where is the Ethics Committee now? Are they giving her a pass? Where's The Outrage?
Recently, an abortion doctor was murdered by a Pro-Life advocate and the news media made a big to do about it for weeks. An American serviceman, at a recruiting office, was murdered by a Muslim terrorist, and it hardly made the news. Murder is murder. Where's the Outrage?
Tim Geithner, an admitted tax cheat (an honest mistake) has made restitution for his owed income taxes, but only for the years still within the statute of limitations. I know not whether any fines or penalties were invoked. He was rewarded by being confirmed as the Secretary of Treasury, to oversee the country's finances. Kind of like the fox guarding the chicken coop? Where's the outrage?
Admittedly, Chris Dodd and Barney Frank are currently supposedly, under investigation for income tax evasion. Again, these are honest mistakes. I'd be willing to bet that nothing will ever come to fruition from this investigation. Where's the Outrage?
Then we have Alaskan Governor, Sarah Palin, who did nothing wrong, except to try to serve her country, by running for national office. Perhaps, the liberals were afraid of her accomplishments in Alaska, because they initiated one of the most despicable attacks imaginable. Late night host David Letterman, even though the election is long over, is still maliciously attacking her. Why do not the ACLU and the women's movement, not rise up in her defense? Where's the Outrage?
