Every year on January 22, since 1973, thousands of Pro-Life advocates descend upon Washington, D.C., protesting the U.S. Supreme Court's monumental decision, to legalize abortion. It matters not that most of our country's citizens object to the Pro-Choice stance of the Supreme Court and Congress. Since then, thousands of innocent lives have been aborted annually. I strongly believe that human life begins at conception, and is entitled to the right of life, until natural death. Anything less is not acceptable. It is really hard to believe that a nation such as ours, that one time, not so long ago, was comprised of an honest, hard working, God fearing people, who would never consider such disgusting a practice. This is another case of a Congress not listening to the will of the majority of its constituents. There are a number of, so called, devout Catholics in Congress who do not believe as I do, and that is their prerogative. I just do not think they should consider themselves good Christians. To me, their position on human life is more important than the "R" or "D" before their name on the ballot.
It appears to me, that our present administration in Washington, feels that terrorists should be afforded more rights than our unborn, who are totally innocent of any wrong doing.
Now, we have an Attorney General of the U.S., Eric Holder, who thinks that enemy war combatants, who perform acts of terror, should be tried in a civil court. This belief apparently, is also shared by Obama. It is my opinion, terrorists, who kill American military personnel or civilians, commit an act of war and should be subject to trial by a military tribunal. He further believes that they are entitled to representation by an attorney, and be read their Miranda rights, before interrogation. This could result in the possible loss of valuable information, since they would have an attorney present to advise them. I believe that any method of interrogation that does not result in bodily harm, such as water boarding, is legitimate. In my humble opinion, when terrorist action has been taken against our military or people, it should definitely be considered an act of war, and should be tried by a military tribunal. I certainly would not care to have the possibility that they be freed, to launch further attacks against us. Let us not forget this war is a war against Christianity.
It is regrettable that the ACLU is so intent on giving wrongdoers their rights, but is oblivious to thousands of aborted babies who have none. Where are the civil liberties to which they have been deprived?
