Dear Editor:
If you already have a fixed-rate mortgage, nothing will change with our recent financial crisis as far as your housing is concerned, except for a rising feeling of righteous indignation that you as a taxpayer are footing the bill for the mistakes of borrowers who got in over their heads and lenders who let them, and shamefully helped them. Why should we as taxpayers be forced, with no say in the matter, to "bailout" companies and banks who were poorly and inefficiently managed by CEO's who earned very large salaries and sometimes left with "huge" bonuses? Let them fail as you and I would have to do under similar circumstances. From now on who is going to say "NO" to any bank or company? When does the circus end?
