Pacers' swimming

    Pontiac won 61 races, of which the Pacers added second-place marks in 37 of those races and had 12 races with a 1-2-3 placement in a 2,742-1,328 win over Stafford Thursday.
    Pontiac’s girls were quite successful in the relays by winning 10 races between the medley and freestyle events. In the medley,  Elizabeth Hansen, Harper Francis, Josie Stock and Ada Duffy won the 8-and-under race while Elena Krause, Olivia Masching, Tessa Collins and Natalie Zimmerman took the 9-10-year-old race. Teammates Lauren Russow, Haidyn Francis, Kassyn Harcharik and Eliza Stock came in second.
    Paityn Richardson, Abby Lauritsen, Emma Nelson and Paige Collins teamed up to win the 11-12 girls race while the foursome of Rachel Duffy, Jaden Lucas, Emily Woodburn and Nia Eggleston took second. Hannah Grove, Olivia Schickel, Keirstin Woodburn and Brooke Collins captured the 13-14 race with Ryli Jo Schmidt, Ava Nollen, Julia Trembley and Kim Fitzsimmons right behind. The 15-18 girls race went to Keely Pickett, Megan Lauritsen, Anneke Esposito and Katie Stock.
     Liam Greil, Jared Trembley, Noah Schrock and Joseph Trembly won the boys’ 15-18 race.
    In the freestyle relay event, Eliza Stock, Tessa Collins, Olivia Masching and Elena Krause won the 9-10 girls race and Haidyn Francis, Natalie Zimmerman, Kassyn Harcharik and Lauren Russow took second. Jaden Lucas, Nia Eggleston, Rachel Duffy and Emily Woodburn were winners at 11-12 with Brooke Collins, Olivia Schickel, Kim Fitzsimmons and Julia Trembley coming next.
    Also winning were Mallory Masching, Josie Stock, Elizabeth Hansen, Harper Francis (8U girls),  Megan Lauritsen, Anneke Esposito, Katie Stock, Keely Pickett (15-18 girls) and Noah Schrock, Joseph Trembley, Jared Trembley, Liam Greil (15-18 boys).
    Individually, the Pacers won nine long freestyle races as Josie Stock (8U girls), Jared Bressner (9-10 boys), Elena Krause (9-10 girls), Murphy Wilkinson (11-12 boys), Jaden Lucas (11-12 girls), Nolan Deats (13-14 boys), Hannah Grove (13-14 boys), Jared Trembley (15-18 boys) and Katie Stock (15-18 girls).
    Coming in second were Corbyn Cotter (8U boys), Eliza Stock (9-10 girls), Emma Nelson (11-12 girls), Julia Trembley (13-14 girls), Liam Greil (15-18 boys) and Anneke Esposito (15-18 girls).
    Claiming individual medley wins were Harper Francis with Elizabeth Hansen taking second at 8U girls. Also placing 1-2 were Jaden Lucas and Emily Woodburn (11-12 girls), Ava Nollen and Keirstin Woodburn (13-14 girls), Noah Schrock and Liam Greil (15-18 boys) and Katie Stock and Anneke Esposito (15-18 girls).
    Also winning were Jared Bressner (9-10 boys) and Nathan Plenert (13-14 boys). Placing second were Olivia Masching (9-10 girls) and Nathan Traylor (11-12 boys).
    Winners in the short freestyle were Corbyn Cotter (8U boys), Harper Francis (8U girls), in 9-10 Jared Bressner and Elena Krause, Paiytn Richardson (11-12 girls), Nolan Deats and Ava Nollen in 13-14 and, in 15-18, Jared Trembley and Megan Lauristen.
    Coming in second were Josie Stock (8U girls), Nathan Traylor (11-12 boys), Abby Lauritsen (11-12 girls), Brooke Collins (13-14 girls), Joseph Trembley (15-18 boys) and Katie Stock (15-18 girls).
    The Pacers had four 1-2 placements in the breaststroke. At 8U girls it was Malloy Masching and Elizabeth Hansen doing the trick. Following were Paityn Richardson and Emma Nelson (11-12 girls), Jared Trembley and Joseph Trembley (15-18 boys) and  Megan Lauritsen and Keely Pickett (15-18 girls).
    Also winning were Eliza Stock (9-10 girls) and Nathan Plenert (13-14 boys). Owen Masching (9-10 boys) came in second.
     Murphy Wilkinson (11-12 boys) and Nathan Plenert (13-14 boys) won their butterfly races, an event that saw the Pacers go 1-2 seven times. Placing first and second were Mallory Masching and Elizabeth Hansen (8U girls), Logan McCabe and Owen Masching (9-10 boys), Elena Krause and Olivia Masching (9-10 girls), Paiytn Richardson and Rachel Duffy (11-2 girls), Hannah Grove and Julia Trembley (13-14 girls), Noah Schrock and Liam Greil (15-18 boys) and Keely Pickett and Megan Lauritsen (15=18 girls).
    Adding to the 1-2 scoring punch for Pontiac were the five times it happened in the backstroke as Haidyn Francis and Lauren Russow (9-10 girls), Jaden Lucas and Emma Nelson (11-12 girls), Ryli Jo Schmidt and Kim Fitzsimmons (13-14 girls), Noah Schrock and Joseph Trembley (15-18 boys) and Keely Pickett and Anneke Esposito (15-18 girls).
    Also winning were Corbyn Cotter (8U boys), Owen Masching (9-10 boys), Nathan Traylor (11-12 boys) and Nolan Deats (13-14 boys). Harper Francis took second in the 8U girls race.
    Pontiac will be hosting its annual Pentathlon event on June 24.
