Teutopolis 8th Grade Girls Win NTC Tournament
The 8th grade Girls NTC Basketball Tournament began on October 27. In the first game Teutopolis defeated Neoga 35-10. In game two Dieterich was defeated by Beecher City - Cowden Herrick with a score of 32-29.
The scorers for Teutopolis are as follows: Madeline Hartke scored 14 points, Cierra Thompson scored 6, Morgan Deters 4, Lauren Jansen 3, and Kaitlin Smith, Kali Rieman, Haley Giles, and Maci Pruemer all scored 2 points each.
The scorers for Dieterich were: Megan Garbe with 12 points, Syndney Higgs with 6, Taylor Wright 5, Mindy Bohnhoff 4, and Rachel Bierman 2.
On October 29, Altamont defeated Sacred Heart with a score of 41-10. Brownstown defeated Stew-Stras with a score of 40-30. Dieterich defeated Neoga with a score of 34-12. Dieterich scorers are as follows: Megan Garbe 10, Syndney Higgs 10, Taylor Wright 6, Mindy Bohnhoff 4, Rachel Bierman 2, and Mallorie Vahling 2.
On October 30, Teutopolis defeated BCCH with a score of 29-7. Teutopolis scorers are as follows: Kali Rieman 8, Taylor Deters 7, Madeline Hartke 6, Lauren Jansen 4, Maci Pruemer 2, and Katelyn Esker 2. Brownstown defeated Altamont with a score of 24-20. Stew-Stras defeated Sacred Heart with a score of 18-13.
On October 31, Teutopolis won 1st place by defeating Brownstown with a score of 30-10. Teutopolis scorers were: Madeline Hartke 8, Lauren Jansen 7, Cierra Thompson 5, Kaitlin Smith 5, Kali Rieman 2, Morgan Deters 2, and Haley Giles 1.
3rd place went to Altamont for defeating BCCH with a score of 28-19. And the Consolation Championship went to Stew-Stras for defeating Dieterich with a score of 31-20. Dieterich scorers were as follows: Syndney Higgs 10, Megan Garbe 6, Chelsie Finke 2, and Taylor Wright 2.
