Lady Shoes Remain Undefeated

On December 7 the Lady Shoes defeated Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City with a score of 56-38. Teutopolis scorers: Becky Niebrugge scored the most points for the team with 19 points. Sara Kroeger received 11 points, Jessie Wendt received 10 points. Allison Windell received 7, Megan Kroeger received 5, while Holly Koester and Drees both received 2 points each.

On December 5 the Lady Shoes defeated Taylorville with a score of 48-32. Holly Koester led the Teutopolis team with an amazing score of 21 points. Megan Kroeger followed with a scored of 10 points. Allison Windell scored 7 points, while Becky Niebrugge and Jessie Wendt both scored 4 points each, and Brianna Probst scored 2 points. T-Town Junior Varsity defeated Taylorville 46-36.

Teutopolis Junior High Girls Basketball Going to State

The Teutopolis Jr. High girls basketball team defeated Jasper County on December 9 with a score of 36-31 in the Class 8-3A Sectional at Teutopolis. Cierra Thompson led the Teutopolis team with 9 points. Kali Rieman and Madeline Hartke followed behind with 8 points each. Lauren Jansen received 7 points and Jesse Schumacher received 4 points.

The 8th grade girls defeated El Paso-Gridley with a score of 34-26 at Monticello on Saturday, December 12. Teutopolis scorers were: Madeline Hartke 13, Cierra Thompson 10, Kali Rieman 9, and Jessica Schumacher 2. They also defeated Chillicothe with a score of 19-14 in the semifinals. Teutopolis scorers: Cierra Thompson 14, Madeline Hartke 4, and Lauren Jansen 1.

Teutopolis (25-1) will play against Green Valley Midwest Central (24-1) on Thursday, Dec. 17 at 7:30 p.m. at the Monticello Middle School.
