Lady Shoes Win 1st Place at Charleston Tourney
In game 1 of the Charleston Girl's Holiday Tournament, Teutopolis defeated Paris with a score of 54-29. Becky Niebrugge and Jessie Wendt led the Teutopolis team with 12 points each. Holly Koester scored 9 points, Megan Kroeger and Allison Windell both scored 8 points each, while Jayme Niebrugge and Gabrielle Deters both scored 2 points, and Brianna Probst scored 1 point. In game 2 T-Town defeated Decatur EHS with a score of 53-41. Jessie Wendt scored the most points with 17 points. Becky Niebrugge scored 11 points, Megan Kroeger scored 9 points, while Holly Koester and Allison Windell both scored 7 points each, and Gabrielle Deters scored 2 points. In game 3 T-Town defeated Effingham with a score of 55-29. Jessie Wendt led the Teutopolis team for this game with a score of 21 points. Holly Koester and Allison Windell both scored 8 points, Megan Kroeger scored 6, and Becky Niebrugge scored 4, while Sara Kroeger, Gabrielle Deters, Lynae Jansen, and Morgan Drees all scored 2 points.
In the last game of the Tourney, Teutopolis defeated Charleston 40-37 in a game that was no more than 6 or 7 points apart during the entire game. Holly Koester led the Teutopolis team with a score of 14, Jessie Wendt had 11, Becky Niebrugge 8, and Megan Kroeger 7.
The top 4 teams at the Charleston Girl's Tournament were: 1st Teutopolis, 2nd Charleston, 3rd Galesburg, and 4th Effingham.

Dieterich Boys Holiday Tournament
On December 28, the Dieterich High School Boys defeated Oblong 79-59 in the 4th game. The Dieterich scorers were as follows: Thoele scored 21 points, Kuhl scored 18, Hinterscher scored 17, Probst 10, Niemerg 7, and Ohnesorge 6. In game 1 Red Hill defeated Cowden Herrick 69-48. In game 2 Louisville defeated Chicago Hope with a score of 58-53. Newton defeated Arcola in game 3 with a score of 69-55.
In the championship game, Newton defeated North Clay with a score of 60-50. For 3rd place, Dieterich defeated Red Hill with a score of 34-31. Dieterich scorers were: Niemerg 9, Kuhl 8, Ohnesorge 6, Probst 6, Hinterscher 3, and Thoele 2. For the Consolation Championship, Chicago Hope defeated Arcola with a score of 52-50. For 7th place, Cowden-Herrick defeated Oblong 80-77.

Dieterich Girls Holiday Tournament
On December 28 in game 6 of the Dieterich Girls Holiday Tournament, Dieterich was defeated by South Central with a score of 58-49. Brandi Orsborn and Candace Niemerg scored the most points for Dieterich with 10 points each. Miranda Goodman and Chelsea Storm both received 7 points each, Brittney Niemerg scored 6 points, Katelyn Hartke scored 5 and Amber Durbin scored 4.
In game 8 on December 29 Dieterich defeated Arcola with a score of 52-38. The Dieterich scorers are as follows: Candace Niemerg 17, Chelsea Storm 12, Brittney Niemerg 10, Brandi Orsborn 7, Katelyn Hartke 4, and Miranda Goodman 2.
Also on December 29, in game 12, Dieterich defeated North Clay with a score of 57-47. Candace Niemerg led the Dieterich team with 13 points, Katelyn Hartke and Brittney Niemerg both scored 11 points each, Chelsea Storm received 10 points, Miranda Goodman scored 8 points and Amber Durbin received 4 points.
For the Championship on December 30, CHBC defeated South Central with a score of 71-56. For 3rd place, Newton defeated Dieterich 48-42. Dieterich scorers were: Candace Niemerg 11, Chelsea Storm 10, Miranda Goodman 9, Brandi Orsborn 4, Amber Durbin 4, Katelyn Hartke 2, and Brittney Niemerg 2. For the Consolation, Louisville North Clay defeated Palestine 44-28. For 7th place, Casey-Westfield defeated Arcola 46-37.

Teutopolis Fresh/Soph Girls Win CHBC Tourney
The Cowden Herrick-Beecher City Fresh/Soph Girls Tournament was played on Saturday, January 2. Teutopolis won 1st place against Sullivan with a score of 39-37. Teutopolis scorers were: Morgan Drees 22, Alyssa Platz 6, Emma Zerrusen 4, Racheal Hartke 3, Olivia Gebben 2, and Tara Stephens 2. Robinson defeated CHBC for 3rd place also with a score of 39-37. Consolation went to Central A and M who defeated Effingham with a score of 41-36. St. Anthony defeated Neoga for 7th place with a score of 47-12.
In game 1, Teutopolis defeated St. Anthony with a score of 42-29. Teutopolis scorers were: Morgan Drees 21, Alyssa Platz 8, Emma Zerrusen 8, and Racheal Hartke 5. St. Anthony scorers were: Faith Hook 14, Katie Bishop 4, Sami Boggs 2, Amber Wenthe 2, Hannah Dallmier 2, and Lauren Horn 1. In game 2, Robinson defeated Central A and M with a score of 35-26. In game 3, Sullivan defeated Effingham 45-30. In game 4, CHBC defeated Neoga with a score of 52-20. In game 5, Central A and M defeated St. Anthony 36-33. In game 6, Teutopolis defeated Robinson 41-38. In game 7, Effingham defeated Neoga with a score of 52-20. In game 8, Sullivan defeated CHBC with a score of 56-39.

Wooden Shoes Place 3rd in Charleston Boys Tourney
On Tuesday, December 29, at the annual Charleston Boy's Holiday Tournament, Effingham defeated Teutopolis with a close score of 48-42 at Charleston High School. J. Niebrugge scored the most points for the Teutopolis team with 9 points. Schumacher and Thompson both scored 8 points each, Sandschafer received 6 points, while Michels and Blievernicht both scored 4 points each, and M. Niebrugge scored 3 points.
On December 30, Teutopolis defeated Galesburg to place third at the Tournament with a score of 67-59. Teutopolis scorers are as follows: Schumacher 17, Thompson 16, Sandschafer 10, J. Niebrugge 10, Bushur 6, Thoele 3, Michels 3, and Blievernicht 2.
