The Coles County Barbershop Chorus is beginning it’s Golden Anniversary year in providing an area wide musical community outreach.  They begin with the annual Singing Valentines event which will be held on Thursday, February  14th.  Quartets will be singing love songs, delivering a box of candy, a beautiful card and a photo of the event to the recipient.  The cost is $35 and all the proceeds go to area high school vocal music programs who participate in the annual Youth in Harmony Festival held each fall.   Quartets sing in homes or at work place sites.  To schedule for Arthur, Charleston or Mattoon, call Tom Woodall (217-549-6671)  To schedule for the Oakland and Paris area, contact Ron Hawkins (276-3312)
