Teutopolis Post 924 celebrated the American Legion's 100th birthday on March 9, with a dinner at the post home for members and guests.

The post received their charter on March 10, 1946, and the last charter member Paul Runde died in October of 2018.

Department Senior Vice Commander Roy Weber spoke on the history and accomplishments of the American Legion and post 924.

Korean war veteran Jim Esker was recognized as serving as post commander in 1959.
The post is active in the community and in Legion programs such as color guards and the Americanism essay contest.  Current membership is 226.
