The deadline to file the Statement of Economic Interest with the County Clerk is May 1, 2019.

This filing and deadline are set by Illinois State Statutes.

Failure to file before May 1st-- the County Clerk is directed to collect a $15.00 late filing fee.

Failure to file by May 15th --the County Clerk is directed to collect the late filing fee of $100.00 per day plus $15.00.

Names of those who have failed to file by June 1, 2019 will be forwarded to the Effingham County State’s Attorney for further action and no other filings will be accepted by the County Clerk.

Statute states that failure to file shall result in forfeiture of office or position.
