Lillian L. Phillips, 86, of Kinmundy, Illinois, passed away Monday, May 6, 2019 at 1:09 a.m. at home.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 10, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. in the Kinmundy Methodist Church, Kinmundy, Illinois with David Kueker and Amy Jeffries officiating. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday at the Rogers-Atkins Funeral Home, 403 S. Broadway, Salem, Illinois. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Kinmundy.

Lillian was born on January 13, 1933 to Cecil and Irene (Alberson) Bailey. She married Theodore Phillips on November 22, 1953; he preceded her in death. She later married Kenneth Trimble on April 14, 2016; he survives in Newton. Lillian is a retired educator and superintendent of schools and retired minister at various local churches. She was a member of the Kinmundy Methodist Church. Lillian loved to travel.

Lillian is survived by her husband, Kenneth; two sons, Alan David (Nanette) Phillips of Chatham and Bruce Dale (Patricia) Phillips of Colorado Springs, Colorado; step-children, Robin (Jack) Pitcher of Montrose, Tony (Deania) Trimble of Newton, Kieth (Amy) Trimble of Montrose, Kim (Rick) McBride of Evansville, IN, Mary (Glenn) Frohning of Newton; siblings, Gene (Nancy) Bailey, Marie Sweeney, Millie Bassett, Patricia (Robert) Sagadine and Shirley Miller; grandchildren, Tracy (Karl) Kocher, Katherine (Ross) Dula, Brian Phillips and Elanor Phillips; and several nieces and nephews.
